Rasputin Catamite

A Velvet Rasputin Production

A coming of age story made in Soviet hell.

Rasputin Catamite is loosely inspired by the Andrei Chikalito scandal, The Metal Fang, Olympic cheating scandals, psikhushkas, queer counterculture, degenerate literature, and other things that the former Soviet Union would rather forget.

Testimonials

"I first found your comics when I heard the word catamite in on HBO’s Rome. A site called Rasputin Catamite came up. I hesitated to open it thinking it was some sort of weird porn. But against my better judgement I did so. I saw a comic. It was intriguing" ― W.A.

"I like Rasputin Catamite." ― Gio BC Marko

  • The Collected Rasputin Catamite: This collection includes the prototype comic Reverend Vas used as a pitch for finding an artist, and the first issue of Rasputin Catamite illustrated by Ram Lama. Is it offensive and crude on more than one level? Yes! Is it an accurate depiction of the late 80's queer underground scene in Russia with a touch of supernatural nonsense? Unfortunately it is, according to several of our Russian readers. Now get ready to delve into this uncomfortable bit of history, if you dare. MORE...
  • The Second Collected Rasputin Catamite: Yes, we realize this book has an incredibly pretentious title. Alas, the Reverend was too lazy come up with anything inspired, and Ram didn't make the "numeric titles are pretentious" speech until after the book went to press. Sorry about that! Nevertheless, this is the "love" collection of Rasputin Catamite. It's full of heart-to-heart conversations, teenage crushes, sadistic men in animal suits, tentacles and a vampire hunter who likes to... um... Maybe it's not so romantic. Read it anyway! MORE...
  • Scarlet Just as the title suggests, this issue issue is full of blood and bloody sluts, sometimes wearing red. It also features hockey, trauma and corruption. However, the most shocking thing about this book is the fact that Sasha actually manages to be happy for more than five minutes. WHAAAAAT!?! MORE...
  • May Day: Have you ever seen a wizard use technicalities to get out of actually doing a ceremonial rite required to battle the ultimate evil? Do you appreciate nice people who use technicalities to help the less fortunate get out of bureaucratic nightmares? Do you like cool supernatural stuff? Technicalities and magick abound in this collection, along with lots of self-discovery journeys that go terribly awry. MORE...
